Jonathan has served as a Special Master, neutral, and expert witness for major U.S., European, and Asian clients. Among his many achievements on behalf of his clients, Jonathan was the lead lawyer who successfully argued before the Texas Supreme Court for the explication of proportionality standards in civil litigation in Texas. Professional Memberships

Jonathan helped found, was the first Chair of, and is currently Chair Emeritus of The Sedona Conference® Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production (WG1). He also serves on the Advisory Board of The Sedona Conference®, Georgetown University Law Center eDiscovery Institute Advisory Board and was previously a co-chair of the Institute. Jonathan also served on the Advisory Committee on the Electronic Records Archives for the United States National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) along with several other trade and bar associations.


Jonathan received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School and a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Minnesota.
