Bill is well known and widely recognised in the construction engineering sector. His clients include employers, mid-tier main contractors and specialist sub contractors. Bill advises on all aspects of contentious and non contentious construction projects in the UK and internationally. Particularly well known for energy work on wind and solar projects. He has a number of reported cases on adjudication and recent experience includes advising colleges and universities on development projects, as well as advising on all forms of JCT, ECC and International Contracts. He has extensive experience of litigation, arbitration, mediation and adjudication in England, as well as international arbitration in ICC. Has worked on pharmaceutical, rail, road and oil projects in UK and internationally. Has worked on JV construction projects in Italy, Tunisia, South Africa and Ghana. Is highly regarded for sourcing of project funding and assembly of project teams. Has extensive experience of energy projects, particularly wind and biomass, with particular expertise in FIDIC and EPC contracts. Drafts and negotiates NDA’s for UK and international clients. Regularly engaged by other law firms to provide expert construction consultancy. Highly regarded for drafting and negotiation of bespoke contracts. He regularly gives seminars and client workshops on these topics.
