Specialist areas: Personal injuries and clinical negligence. Robert has a particular interest in catastrophic injury and fatal claims and product liability. He was instructed by Merck & Co and General Motors in relation to major product liability group actions. He is currently instructed on behalf of a large group of pursuers in the transvaginal mesh and metal hip implant litigations. He appears regularly in the Inner House (appeal court). Robert speaks and writes regularly on personal injury related matters. Robert has been involved in mediations in high value claims. Robert is happy to take on conditional fee and direct access work.

Lectures and Seminars - Robert has spoken at numerous seminars and conferences, including for CLT, APIL, Compass Chambers, the Law Society of Scotland, the Scottish Young Lawyers Association and the Australian Bar Association. Robert also gave evidence to the Justice Committee in relation to the Damages (Scotland) Bill 2010 in September 2010 and in relation to the Court Reform Bill in April 2014.
