Clients receive courses on the particularities of claims handling in Brazil and are kept updated on all developments through prompt and precise reporting. A proactive attitude to claims handling by orchestrating various elements that make up the composition of details necessary for a holistic solution based on experience and a firm understanding of the applicable law results in the consequential delivery of desirable results.
INTERNATIONAL WORK: International work is inherent to the main area of practice which can involve various nationalities, laws and conventions, depending, in relation to the circumstances, on the flag of the vessels involved, the nationality of the crew, the jurisdiction of the contracts and a number of other factors. International work also includes visiting clients abroad and delivering courses on such topics as oil pollution, handling claims, criminal liability, inquiries and procedures at the Maritime Court. Institutions that have received such courses are P&I Clubs and the largest international law firms in London and Asia, underwriters in Japan, Shipowner Associations in Germany and Hong Kong and the Maritime Law Association in New York.
