We are looking for Research Analysts to join our professional research teams.

Responsibilities for Research Analysts include:

  • Interview lawyers and in-house legal teams on a daily basis
  • Interviewing, researching and writing accurate and appropriate editorial
  • Preparing research reports, ranking individual lawyers and their firms
  • Following up on research leads

Production Assistant

We are looking for a Production Assistant to join our team.

Purpose of the role:

Working across a range of publications for print, the role is predominantly type-setting in InDesign. Assisting in the production of large hardback legal ranking guides, and smaller A4 magazine formats for print.

Using bespoke setting software with InDesign, you will produce books and magazines to house style to a deadline for print.

Essential skills:

  • InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of all InDesign type-setting tools.
  • Knowledge of / experience in producing artwork for print, with HTML an advantage.

We are currently looking for an Admin Assistant to join our Global Practice Guides team.

Job Description:

The role will require the execution of various tasks in the provision of administrative assistance to our Global Practice Guides (GPG) editorial team as well as managing individual workloads. The effective completion of these tasks play a key role in the smooth running of the team and its ability to deliver its organisational objectives. Therefore the need to be proactive, organised while also demonstrating a good attention to detail is paramount.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring paid for content is received on time as per deadlines agreed with the Editor.

Events Sales Executive

We are currently looking for an Events Sales Executive to join our team.

The right candidate will assist the Head of Event Sales with securing sponsorship revenue across our portfolio of events around the world and maximize the profitability of the events business. Chambers and Partners has a programme of well-established events and requires a strong Sales Executive to be able to expand on these. There may be the occasional requirement for international travel to some events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head of Event Sales and the events team to contribute to the creation of quality, commercially successful event sponsorship models.
  • Secure event sponsorship income from existing clients and proactively identify new sponsorship sales opportunities with target companies.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell sponsorship packages across the portfolio of events.
  • Build and maintain strong external relationships with potential sponsors through telephone calls and securing business meetings.
  • With support, creating and preparing sponsorship packages for clients.
  • Match events and regions to clients’ needs and tailor the packages to suit their business need.
  • Share and get involved in the creation of sponsorship ideas in liaison with the Events Team and Head of Event Sales to maximize sponsorship opportunities.
  • Ensure that all sponsorship leads are tracked through effective use of the CRM system.

Essential Skills:

Events Marketing Executive

Conference & Events Manager

The right candidate will ensure the smooth running of our high-profile events around the world, in particular the conference programme. This will involve foreign travel. The role of the C & E Manager is vital to providing all logistical and technical knowledge for the conferencing aspect of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend and oversee conferences globally; manage and assist speakers, contribute to the running of the conference agenda and liaise with external suppliers.
  • Assist the wider events team with award ceremonies and Editors Receptions when required.
  • Working closely with the seminar and sales team to improve existing agendas and to identify further opportunities and areas of growth.
  • Liaising with the seminars team, deliver an engaging conference agenda, attracting and recruiting high level speakers if required, and ensure events offer compelling content to senior decision-makers
  • Pre and Post-event management, e.g. creating and sending out invitations, creating mailing lists, sending follow-up emails to attendees etc.
  • Attending our high profile events and forums globally to manage the entire programme from start to finish including delegate management, venue liaising and external suppliers.
  • Responsible for managing, training and developing your direct reports and to ensure their workload is managed effectively.
  • Work alongside the Events Manager with budget planning.
  • Liaising with sponsors to ensure they get the exposure they have contracted.
  • Venue sourcing and booking, AV management, logistics etc.
  • Putting together venue research and supplier research when required.
  • Assist with some of the general administrative duties alongside the event team e.g. tidying up mailing lists, creating name badges for all events, goodie bag packing, etc.

Essential Skills:

  • A record of delivering multiple conferences over a short time-frame
  • Must have at least 2 years’ relevant events conferencing experience
  • Prior managerial experience
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • High level of competency with Office suite
  • Experience using Event Management Software (e.g. - eTouches)
  • Strong negotiation stills
  • Ability to manage the delivery of multiple events
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Candidates must be entitled to live and work in the UK and should have no travel restrictions

Essential Skills:

  • The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Qualification
  • Ability to speak more than one language (Spanish in particular)
