Network Overview:
The Parlex Group was established in 1971 with the objective of creating a network of small and medium-sized European law firms specialising in commercial law. Today, The Parlex Group consists of 29 member firms in 26 countries, with a member in most European countries and associate members in the USA, Malaysia and Israel. From its inception, The Parlex Group has been both a personal and professional association, and consequently, strong ties of friendship and trust have developed between its members over the years. These ties are continually strengthened through several annual meetings, regional meetings and meetings in special interest groups, and the exchange of assistant attorneys and attorneys between the firms in the various countries. This ensures that all matters are handled with proper understanding and knowledge of both law and social customs in each jurisdiction. Any case that is referred to any Parlex member will be treated as highly prioritised. Members of The Parlex Group must comply with specific membership criteria including having significant expertise in fundamental practice areas, the ability to provide advice in good English whenever necessary, modern business systems and at least be medium sized in their jurisdiction. Members are reviewed regularly in order to ensure that the membership criteria are maintained.

Main Areas of Practice:
The Parlex Group considers its main purpose to be ensuring members’ clients’ immediate access to specialist knowledge and legal advice within Europe and beyond. The member firms specialises in all aspects of commercial law as well as litigation and arbitration, and as a complement to the broad legal foundation of the member offices, Special Interest Groups have been established for the purpose of disseminating knowledge and putting specialists within member firms in direct contact with one another. The special interest groups meet at least twice a year, and as of 2010, these Groups share knowledge within the fields of employment law, tax law, corporate transactional and IP/IT practice. It has also recently implemented a group specialising in law firm management and a regional group in Scandinavia.
