Project Finance & Infrastructures:
YL is a leading firm in the field of financing infrastructure and energy projects. YL has been involved in the most prominent infrastructure projects in Israel, including transportation, water and energy projects. In the field of desalination, YL has represented the government of Israel in the tenders for the establishment of seawater desalination plants in Ashkelon, Palmachim, Hadera, Sorek and Ashdod. In the transportation field, YL has represented the government in the Carmel Tunnels toll road project in Haifa, the construction of Highways 431 and 531, a PFI project for the renovation and maintenance of roads and other projects. YL has provided legal counsel to Bank Hapoalim and foreign and Israeli financial institutions in relation to the financing of the northern section of the Cross Israel Highway (Sections 3 and 7). In addition, YL has represented the Israel Airports Authority in the establishment of a new international airport in Timna. YL has represented the Israel Ports Company in the tenders for the construction of Israel’s new naval ports in Haifa and Ashdod as well as tenders for the operation of said ports following their construction. The conclusion of these tenders was a very significant milestone for the Israeli economy. In the field of energy, YL has advised and continues to advise the owners of the pumped-storage power plant in the Gilboa (The first pumped-storage power plant in Israel), Bank Leumi as the financier of the gas-fired IPP in Mishor Rotem, Bank Hapoalim and other foreign and Israeli financial institutions in financing a solar thermal power plant in Ashalim and banks and other institutional investors in financing photovoltaic power plants. In addition, YL provides legal counsel to a leading Chinese company in the construction of a pumped-storage power plant in Kochav HaYarden. In the field of natural gas, YL has represented the financiers of the Israeli partners in the Yam Tethys natural gas reservoir and banks and other institutional investors in financing the construction of natural gas distribution networks in the central and southern regions of Israel. In the construction field, YL has, inter alia, represented Bank Leumi during the financial closing stage of the IDF Training Base in the Negev, the owner of the project for the construction and renovation of student dormitories at Bar-Ilan University and the financiers of projects for the construction of long-term rental residential projects.

Generators, the sale of Linom Group, the sale of rights in pumped-storage projects and many other transactions. In addition, YL represented Electra Consumer Products in the acquisition of Mahsanei Hashmal; the acquisition of Ace and its subsequent sale to Kedma Capital; the acquisitions of the Israeli franchisee of Daikin Industries and the Israeli franchisee of Huwawei Mobile; the sale of Electra’s service operations to the PL Group, and other transactions. YL represents various public infrastructure entities. Within the framework of its activities, the firm acquired significant expertise in land appropriation totaling hundreds of kilometers, accompanying municipal planning, registration of land consolidation, handling depreciation claims amounting to billions of NIS and representing clients before the planning authorities and the administrative courts and tribunals.
