Maria Elena (Mel) Lagomasino has worked with financially successful families for more than three decades. As CEO and Managing Partner of WE Family Offices, a global family office serving ultra high net worth families, she engages client families to build their wealth enterprises and provides the support and control they need to manage their wealth as a successful business enterprise. She is a recognized leader in the wealth management industry, and is a founder of the Institute for the Fiduciary Standard.
Mel serves on the boards of The Walt Disney Company, The Coca-Cola Company, and the Americas Society. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
In August 2015 she was named one of the 50 most influential women in Wealth Management by Private Asset Management. In 2012, Mel was named one of the Directorship 100 by the National Association of Corporate Directors and was named by American Banker one of 2012’s Top 25 Women in Finance. Mel was named Women of the Year by Hispanic Business Magazine in 2007. In September 2006, she was appointed by President Bush to help lead an effort to secure private sector funds to aid disaster victims in Central America and served on Secretary Rice’s Advisory Board on Transformational Diplomacy.

Randy A. Bullard is Co-Chair of the Miami Corporate & Securities Practice, a member of the M&A Committee, and a founding member of the Global Practice. He has advised multinational clients in connection with cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, securities and finance transactions throughout Central and South America, the Caribbean, Europe and the United States. He has represented numerous European global corporations in connection with establishing and developing their U.S. presence as well as managing their Latin American operations. He is also experienced representing public and private issuers and underwriters in equity and debt offerings and exchange listings. Randy's work has focused on international cross-border mergers and acquisitions across a broad range of sectors, including financial services, telecommunications, media, entertainment, food and beverage, agriculture, and manufacturing. Randy has been recognized every year since 2008 by Chambers and Partners as a Foreign Expert in Latin America for Banking & Finance and Corporate/M&A.
Randy serves as the Liaison Officer for Law Firm Management for the LGBT Law Committee of the International Bar Association and is actively involved in LGBT initiatives on behalf of the firm. Randy received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his A.B. from Princeton University.

Lin Cherry has over 20 years of experience working with companies in the media, sports and technology industries.
Ms. Cherry is currently Senior Vice President – Business & Legal Affairs and General Counsel for HBO Latin America Group, a group of companies that own, operate and distribute HBO, Max and Cinemax programming services and perform various distribution services for other programming services which include: A&E, AXN, E! Entertainment, Sony Entertainment Television, Lifetime, The History Channel, Warner Channel, H2 and Telemundo. These programming services are distributed throughout Latin America, Brazil and the Caribbean. In addition to providing distribution services, HBO Latin America Group also produces and acquires content and handles the technology operations relating to these programming services.
Prior to joining HBO Latin America Group, Ms. Cherry was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Business Development Officer of America Movil subsidiary, DLA, Inc., the operator of the Clarovideo video on-demand service; Executive Vice President & General Counsel of MySpace, a social media platform; General Counsel of Tata Sky Limited, a joint venture formed by News Corp.’s Star Group and the Tata Group to provide DTH satellite television throughout India; and Vice President of DIRECTV Latin America, a DTH satellite provider in Latin America. Prior to working as in-house counsel, Ms. Cherry practiced with Akerman Senterfitt in its corporate department.
Lin graduated Cum Laude from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Florida.
Carolina Menichetti is a partner at AyG Abogados. Her practice is focused on real estate project financing and development, corporate reorganizations and M&A. She also has experience working in the area of joint ventures, public and private investment funds structuring, shareholders’ agreements, capital and debt issuance and derivatives.
She is currently a member of the International Steering Committee of the Women in the Profession (WIP) Program, Vance Center, and of the board of directors of MEDS S.A. and Parque Capital S.A. She previously worked at Carey in the M&A and Capital Markets Group (2003-2008) and at Barros y Errázuriz in the Tax Group (2008-2010). She graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile with a law degree, before later undertaking her MBA.
She is recognized as leading lawyer in the real estate and urban area, and was ranked 2nd place in the 2014 Leading Lawyers Chile Ranking published in Qué Pasa Magazine.
Carolina Machado Dufau
Managing Director and Head of the ICG Legal in Mexico
Carolina Machado is a licensed lawyer by ITAM (Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México) who obtained an LLM from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. At the beginning of her career, Carolina worked at the law firms Creel García Cuéllar y Muggengburg in the Mexico City and Shearman & Sterling in New York. In 1997, she joined JPMorgan´s Legal and Compliance Department in Mexico, which she led as General Counsel from 1999 to 2015, dealing with financial transactions in Markets and Structured Products, M & A, Capital Markets, Private Bank, Treasury Services, Agency and Trust Services and Private Equity. In 2015, she transferred to New York to assist in the establishment of the Global Financial Crimes Legal Department for Latin America at JPMorgan.
Carolina was appointed General Counsel for ICG (Institutional and Corporate Clients) of Citibanamex (part of Citigroup) in June 2016, reporting to Mexico´s General Counsel.
Carolina Machado is part of the Women´s Council (“Consejo de Mujeres”) at Citibanamex, and is a founding director and board member of Abogadas MX, a Mexican Association whose mission is to promote the inclusion of women in the legal profession in leadership positions.
Corporate Legal Manager
Vanessa Velásquez graduated in Commercial Law from the National Autonomous University of Honduras and has a Master's Degree in Financial Regulation with an emphasis in Project Financing from the Georgetown University Law Center. She has more than 15 years of experience in providing legal advice to national and international companies in corporate, commercial, civil, banking, financial and insurance law.
In her professional career she has stood out as a partner, administrator and lawyer at the legal firm Casco-Fortín, Cruz & Asociados for 15 years. Furthermore, she was a Guest Attorney of the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC), a private party of the IDB, working on financing projects in Central America, the Caribbean and South America.
In the beginning of her professional career as a lawyer she was an associate at Cruz Williams Law Firm. She is currently Corporate Legal Manager and Secretary of the Executive Committee of Grupo Terra, where she provides advice in her field for this group at the corporate level and in new investment projects of the group.

Sally Ng is responsible for overseeing business and legal affairs matters for NBCUniversal International Networks, Latin America, and providing legal advice on a range of subjects from channel regulatory compliance, programming licensing and acquisitions, channel distribution, advertising, and marketing, among other areas.
She is also responsible for establishing a corporate reporting structure and managing internal relationships between all NBCUniversal entities across the Latin American region. Her responsibilities additionally include leading the identification of business opportunities in jurisdictions with regulatory challenges that may impact the company.
Considered a natural leader with more than 10 years of experience in business and legal affairs, Sally has extensive knowledge of international television and distribution services. Prior to joining NBCUniversal International Networks, she held internal positions in other multi-national media companies such as Viacom International Media Networks and Fox International Channels, where she served as director and counsel of business and legal affairs, respectively, and was responsible for intellectual property, corporate affairs and content licensing agreements.
Sally is a licensed attorney in the State of Florida, USA, as well as an English Solicitor. She holds a degree from Oxford Institute of Legal Practice, an Executive Education Certificate from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University. Sally is fluent in English, Spanish and conversational Portuguese.

Robert Ivanschitz is the Assistant General Counsel for Microsoft Latin America, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is responsible for legal, corporate, government and citizenship in Latin America and the Caribbean regions, supporting Microsoft business in 46 countries.
In 2015, Robert joined Microsoft Latin America from Microsoft Middle East and Africa (MEA), where he was the Assistant General Counsel and Head of Legal since 2011. In such capacity Robert was responsible for supporting and coordinating the regional legal, corporate affairs, corporate responsibility and digital integrity in all 9 subsidiaries, over 79 countries part of Microsoft’s MEA region.
Robert is no stranger to Latin America. Originally from Chile, he joined Microsoft in 2004 first as an attorney supporting the Caribbean and Central America Region, and then as a Senior Attorney for Latin America New Markets.
Before joining Microsoft, Robert worked as an Associate for the law firms, New York offices, of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher (1998-2000) and Proskauer Rose LLP (2000-2004).
Robert holds a Law Degree from the Catholic University of Chile School of Law and a Master in Law Degree (LL.M) from Columbia University School of Law. He is also admitted to the New York bar.

Kelly serves as Vice President, Legal for Liberty Global, the world’s largest international TV and broadband company, with operations in more than 30 countries across Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. Her practice at Liberty Global currently focuses on various corporate and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions transactions within the Latin American and Caribbean markets, SEC reporting and governance matters.
Prior to joining Liberty Global in June 2013, Kelly practiced with Hogan Lovells US LLP in its Corporate Group in Denver, Colorado, and with Shearman & Sterling L.L.P. in its Capital Markets Group in New York City.
Kelly earned her J.D. as well as a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Vanderbilt University. She is a member of the Colorado and New York bars.
Chief Legal Officer
Alfredo joined Mesoamerica in May 2014 as head of all legal, tax and compliance matters involving the firm, its private equity investment vehicles and portfolio companies.
Before joining Mesoamerica, Alfredo was Senior Tax Counsel and Head of Tax Strategy for Latin America and Caribbean for American International Group Inc. (AIG), based out of New York and Miami. For 3 years, he was in charge of providing strategic tax guidance to senior management (global and regional) and developing tax planning opportunities from U.S. and local tax perspective for the Latin America region.
Alfredo also worked for 4 years as Manager in the M&A Tax practice at Ernst & Young LLP’s New York office, where he led and managed global M&A tax structuring and due diligence projects, as well as corporate reorganizations. Alfredo started his career at LLM Abogados (formerly known as Lara, Lopez, Matamoros, Rodriguez & Tinoco), where he worked for 5 years focusing mainly on Corporate, Banking and Securities Law.
Alfredo received an LL.M in International Taxation from NYU School of Law, and a J.D. (Licenciatura en Derecho) from the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho (San Jose, Costa Rica).

Michele DeStefano is the founder and director of LawWithoutWalls, a multi-disciplinary, international think-tank of over 1000 lawyers, business professionals, entrepreneurs, and law and business students that collaborate to solve problems and create innovations at the intersection of law, business, and technology. She is also the co-founder and co-editor of the Compliance Elliance Journal, an open access e-journal that publishes engaging authors' works about cutting edge issues in compliance and ethics. Michele writes about the growing intersections between law, business, and legal innovation. She is currently conducting research on Heads of Innovation at law firms and General Counsels at international corporations in support of her upcoming book, The Innovation Tournament: Transforming How Lawyers Collaborate.
Michele presents regularly at law firms, corporations, and legal organizations on Innovation, Teaming, Collaboration, Culture Creation, Compliance, and Technology. In addition to teaching courses on the Changing Legal Profession and Entrepreneurship at University of Miami School of Law, she is Affiliated Faculty at Harvard Law School’s Center on the Legal Profession and Guest Faculty in Harvard Law School's Executive Education program. Michele received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College. She has been recently recognized by the ABA as one of ten 2013 Legal Rebels and has been admitted to the Massachussets, Minnesota and District of Columbia bars.
Chico’s FAS, Inc.
Greg Baker is the Vice President - Legal and Corporate Secretary of Chico’s FAS, Inc. since February 2017, where he also oversees global compliance and enterprise risk management. Greg has 20 years of professional experience in the retail industry. He served as General Counsel and Business Development of Limited Stores, LLC (dba The Limited) from January 2013 through December 2016 and served as its Senior Counsel from January 2011 through December 2012.
Prior to joining The Limited, Greg practiced law as part of the Corporate Group of Schottenstein, Zox & Dunn (nka Ice Miller). He joined the firm in 1998 and served as a partner from 2007 through 2010. Greg has extensive experience overseeing major corporate transactions both domestically and internationally.
He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and The Ohio State University, respectively. Greg is a Leadership Columbus graduate, a 40 Under 40 Honoree by Columbus Business First, an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star and has served in various leadership roles for non-profit agencies. He is an author and regularly speaks at regional and national law conferences on various retail topics.
