Ms. Waddell is a senior partner of Waddell Phillips PC, and head of its class action practice. She has particular experience and expertise in this specialized field, where she acts for both plaintiffs and defendants. Ms. Waddell acts in a wide range of class actions, including consumer protection, securities fraud, product liability and professional negligence.
Margaret is an Executive Member of the Toronto Lawyers’ Association, an Executive Member of the Ontario Bar Association Class Action Subgroup, a member of the Canadian Bar Association's Class Action Reform Advisory Group, and a former board member of The Advocates Society
Ms. Waddell has appeared as counsel in a number of precedent-establishing and well known class actions. Ms. Waddell is regularly requested to appear as a lecturer at both substantive and practical skills continuing legal education programs, and is an adjunct professor of law at Queen's University teaching class actions.
