Managing Partner of AnJie Law Firm. Specialised in anti-monopoly and insurance law. Dr Zhan handled some high-profile concentration filing, investigation defense and private litigation cases. He provided the defence for the anti-trust investigation involving aviation, telecommunication, LCD, auto parts, insurance industry. Dr Zhan represented multinational and Chinese companies in the private anti-monopoly litigations related to dominance and cartel. He participated in some anti-monopoly regulation legislation events, and is a pioneer lawyer in PRC AML practice. With respect to insurance sector, he gives legal advice to over 40 domestic and foreign insurers, and the practice scope includes claim and subrogation, M&A for insurer, insurance company setup, utilization of insurance fund and insurance compliance. Now, AnJie has the biggest insurance team in PRC firms.

He is author of 'The Practice of Merger & Acquisition under the Chinese Anti-monopoly Law: Legal Analysis, Case Study and Practical Guidelines for the Concentration of the Business Operators' (Law Press & LexisNexis), 'The Economic Analysis of Chinese Insurance Market Regulation' (China Legal Press).
Obtained PhD, Master and LL.B. from Peking University and Wuhan University. He was selected from across China as one of four lawyers to participate in the 'China-EU Jurisdiction Co-operation Program' jointly organised by EU and PRC Ministry of Justice, and studied in Europe. After got three degrees in law, he completed his post-doctor research in economy.
