David F. Sorensen is a managing shareholder of Berger & Montague and co-chair of the firm’s antitrust department. He graduated from Duke University and Yale Law School, and clerked for the Hon. Norma L. Shapiro (E.D. Pa.). Mr. Sorensen is playing a leading role in numerous antitrust cases representing pharmaceutical wholesalers alleging overcharges from delayed generic competition. In 2009, he and the entire trial team were named Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Public Justice Foundation for Cook v. Rockwell Corporation (D. Colo.), a suit by thousands of property owners near the former Rocky Flats nuclear weapons plant located outside Denver who alleged that plutonium from the plant had contaminated and devalued their property. After two trips to the Tenth Circuit, the parties reached a $350 million settlement.
