Financial Services Regulation – Consumer Finance:
Represents banks, finance companies, mortgage lenders, loan servicers, service providers and investors, and marketplace lenders, advising on state and federal regulatory compliance for consumer documentation, CFPB supervision preparedness and regulatory examination and enforcement matters, e-commerce, underwriting, acquisitions and divestitures, warehouse and other commercial financing, insurance, and structured finance. Services include multistate legal surveys; design of mortgage, automobile, and manufactured housing finance, and unsecured lender credit products and agreements; compliance audits; due diligence reviews; training; licensing of consumer lenders, mortgage lenders, and sales finance companies; and defense of federal and state regulatory enforcement actions.
Secures and defends vital patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret rights, aiming to help clients establish, extend, monetize, and defend IP assets and portfolios. Defends foreign and domestic insurers, manufacturers, and distributors in manufacture and design liability cases involving motor vehicles, aircraft, electrical appliances, chemical plants, industrial products and equipment, power turbines, and medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
