Natalia has nearly 20 years of litigation and arbitration experience in London, which has involved working in leading UK law firms. Her legal career has a strong focus on acting for clients from ex-Soviet countries (primarily Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan) and for high net worth individuals managing their assets, often in challenging and complex disputes in High Court proceedings and international arbitration. Natalia has extensive experience in a variety of commercial disputes including shareholders’ disputes, claims arising out of loan agreements and related security arrangements, oral high level agreements between oligarchs in relation to joint investments, fraud claims and related asset tracing actions, claims arising out of liquidation of investment funds, enforcement of arbitral awards in off-shore jurisdictions and related insolvency proceedings and many others. Natalia’s case highlights include acting for a Russian oil and gas business group, in relation to proceedings arising out of loan agreements, personal guarantees and other loan security documentation; a CIS business group in a breach of contract claim arising out of a shareholders' dispute in the automobile industry; a claimant regarding an SPA in relation to the sale of a group of Russian companies in the electricity/infrastructure industry; and a respondent regarding a shareholders’ agreement in relation to a joint venture between CIS parties in the aviation and real estate sectors.
