Founding Director of largest niche family practice in Scotland. Advises individuals and corporate entities where there are family law issues. Contentious practice in Court of Session and Sheriff Court in Scotland and regularly deals with Scots law issues where there are proceedings outwith Scotland; Non-contentious practice is focused on strategic advice and contractual arrangements including pre-nups. Acts as expert witness and SJE. Accredited by Law Society of Scotland as specialist in Family Law and Family Mediator. Family Arbitrator (and trainer) with FLAGS (Family Law Arbitration Group Scotland). Collaborative lawyer. Main areas of practice are advising on financial issues arising from family relationships and associated reputation management/privacy (including advising companies and partnerships re disclosure issues). Practice includes working with married, empartnered and cohabiting individuals, trustees, in-house counsel and family office advisers. Particular experience and expertise in cases where there are jurisdictional issues, both intra-UK and overseas (both financial and child-related) and in issues that arise when acting for LGBTI individuals.
