Marie Bourke is a Senior Associate in Russell-Cooke’s fraud and criminal litigation department. Marie qualified in 2009 and joined Russell Cooke in 2014. Marie has a specific focus in representing individuals / companies facing allegations of high value financial crime. In her white collar crime practice, she has defended clients in cases which include allegations of fraudulent trading, money laundering, cheating the Public Revenue and conspiracy to defraud. These include prosecutions brought by the SFO, FCA, CPS and HMRC. Marie also has extensive experience in dealing with complex restraint orders and confiscation.
In her serious crime practice, she defends clients facing allegations of murder, firearm offences, serious drug offences and rape. These cases are frequently high profile and reported by the press.
The majority of Marie’s clients are professional people including directors, solicitors, accountants and doctors who are accused of crimes which could have a grave impact upon their employment.
