Kirsten is a member of the family law team and advises client’s on a wide range of work types including divorces, cohabitations, pre-nuptial and post nuptial agreements, child related disputes and adoptions. Much of Kirsten’s work involves international elements. Kirsten regularly draws upon her litigation experience in appearing for client’s in Sheriff Courts and has been the principal solicitor for clients in a number of novel and/or high value Court of Session actions. She is also a trained collaborative solicitor and mediator and is keen to utilise these alternative methods of dispute resolution. Kirsten has also sat as a panel practice advisor for the Children’s Panel in Aberdeen City and is a part time tutor on the Diploma in Legal Practice at RGU.

Aberdeen University LLB (Hons) 2002-2006 Aberdeen University Diploma in Legal Practice – 2006-2007. Traineeship with Ledingham Chalmers LLP from 2007-2009. Solicitor and subsequently associate with Ledingham Chalmers LLP from 2009 to February 2016. Associate with Balfour+Manson from March 2016 to April 2017 when she was assumed as a partner in the firm.
Chairman of the Lyric Musical Society and a member involved in their various productions. Enjoys walking, mountain biking and is a classically trained singer.
