Laura is a Criminal Solicitor Advocate. She provides legal advice and advocacy from the day a health and safety incident occurs to the criminal trial in court. Assists clients throughout the UK, dealing with instructions direct and through solicitors from other jurisdictions who trust her to deal with cases diligently and sensitively. Receives various instructions from Clyde & Co, Manchester, to assist with their Scottish cases. Laura deals with certain cases for BTO’s insurance clients and is currently involved in, potentially, the first corporate homicide prosecution in Scotland. Laura has dealt with cases from a cross section of industries including: construction; agriculture; oil and gas; retail; defence; the leisure industry and local authorities. A former prosecutor, Laura has excellent working relationships with the Health & Safety Division of the Crown Office. Appears in courts throughout Scotland and represents clients as a Solicitor Advocate. A proficient court practitioner and carries out her own advocacy, including running her own jury trials.
