Paul specialises in litigation and dispute resolution with a focus on defamation, privacy/confidentiality and intellectual property disputes. Paul also provides pre-publication advice to publishers and assists clients from the media and entertainment sector with contractual disputes. Paul is currently representing a number of clients involved in High Court litigation including several claimants in the ongoing ‘phone hacking’ litigation.
Paul commenced his training contract with Davenport Lyons in 2004, qualifying into the firm’s Dispute Resolution Department in 2006 (representing media clients in cases such as Peacock v MGN Limited and BBC v HarperCollins Publishers Ltd). Paul joined Archerfield Partners LLP as a Senior Associate in 2011 before becoming a Partner in 2016.
Paul has been an editor of the Communications Law Journal since 2010 and has also written a number of articles for the Solicitors Journal, International Association of Entertainment Lawyers, Media Law Resource Center and Copyright World.
