In its latest financial year to end August 2016, Anderson Strathern reported a turnover at £21m.

The firm was recognised as the legal employer of choice in Scotland when it won the Employer of the Year at the Scottish Legal Awards 2016 and in 2017, one of its Solicitor Advocates, Dominic Scullion, was awarded Rising Star of the year. Anderson Strathern was the first law firm to achieve the double success of Investors in Young People Gold and Investors in People Gold accreditations. The firm was first awarded the Investors in People (IIP) Gold Accreditation in 2011, the highest level of recognition for the championing of best practice in the development and management of all of its 227 employees. It was first awarded the Investors in Young People Accreditation in 2015 and has this year been re-accredited in Investors in People Gold for a further three-year period. RECRUITMENT Over the last year, the firm’s lateral hire strategy has seen the appointments of Private Client Partner David Campbell from Balfour + Manson and Transport and Infrastructure specialist Neil Amner, President of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and former Partner at MacRoberts.

Internally, two new partners were appointed and 17 solicitors were promoted.
