Department profile submitted by Signature Litigation LLP

The department is built around experienced practitioners who have worked on both sides of disputes in the banking and financial markets. In addition to acting for banks, funds, wealth managers, private equity funds and other financial institutions, the department has also acted for high net worth individuals and claimant groups bringing claims against some of those entities and individuals.

As a consequence, the department has both the benefit of wide experience of banking disputes and the ability to act on both sides, arising from its conflict free platform.

In recent cases, the department has acted in some very high profile and ground breaking cases against financial institutions, taking advantage of relatively untested consumer protection legislation, as well as in multijurisdictional disputes against global banks arising out of large and complex investment mandates.  In addition, the department continues to act for institutions and individuals handling a variety of regulatory issues.
