Police law, public and administrative law, inquests and inquiries, employment and personal injury. Jonathan acts on behalf of constabularies across the country in cases touching upon all areas of police law. He has considerable experience in advising chief officers on policy and operational matters, particularly in sensitive matters involving national security and other high-profile cases (including Operation Weeting and Operation Yewtree). Recent cases include: the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (on behalf of the Metropolitan Police Service); the Inquests into the deaths arising from the Hillsborough Stadium disaster (on behalf of the St John Ambulance) and the Anthony Grainger Inquiry (on behalf of the National Crime Agency).
