Lisa Wilding QC is a specialist criminal advocate who prosecutes and defends, primarily in cases of homicide, fraud or serious sexual offences. Lisa has appeared in many complex joint enterprise murders and has considerable experience dealing with telephone, cell site and forensic evidence. Having been involved in murder cases at the Old Bailey since 2003 her experience in this area includes cases dependent upon extensive medical evidence including baby-shaking cases. She has a noted ability to deal with young or vulnerable defendants and witnesses. Lisa also has considerable experience in complex fraud and financial crime, including offences under the Companies Act, fraud against the Revenue and Customs, diversion fraud, mortgage fraud, corruption, money laundering, and advance fee (or Ponzi ) frauds. She was leading counsel in Operation Inertia (largest MTIC ever prosecuted), Operation MFB (£25m MTIC fraud) and Operation Savate (£5m Construction Industry Scheme Fraud in the Midlands and North West). Lisa appears in the most serious sexual cases, including historic allegations and those involving especially vulnerable witnesses or defendants or where capacity is in issue. She has also been involved in cases brought against family members accused of allowing the killing of a child or vulnerable person to happen. In addition, she has considerable experience of appellate and advisory work including murder appeals. Lisa is known for her meticulous preparation, clear advice, excellent client-handling and collaborative team approach.
