Lisa Wilding QC is a specialist criminal advocate instructed in a wide range of criminal cases , with particular experience of murder, fraud and serious sexual offences. Lisa has appeared in many complex joint enterprise murders since 2003, particularly with young defendants involving gang affilations, knives and guns. She has considerable knowledge of dealing with telephone, cell site and scientific forensic evidence including medical evidence in baby-shaking cases and a noted ability to deal with young or vulnerable defendants and witnesses.
Lisa also has considerable experience in complex fraud and financial crime, including offences under the Companies Act, fraud against the Revenue and Customs, diversion fraud, mortgage fraud, corruption, money laundering, and advance fee (or Ponzi ) frauds. She was leading counsel in Operation Inertia (largest MTIC ever prosecuted), Operation MFB (£25m MTIC fraud) and Operation Savate (£5m Construction Industry Scheme Fraud in the Midlands and North West).
Lisa appears in the most serious sexual cases, including historic allegations and those involving especially vulnerable witnesses or defendants including in child-sex, exploitation and grooming cases, or where mental capacity is in issue. She has also been involved in cases brought against family members accused of allowing the killing of a child or vulnerable person to happen.
In addition, Lisa regularly provides advice to those she has not represented at trial who seek to appeal their convictions, and to those investigating the commission of serious offences.
