Andy has for many years been at the forefront of the Social Housing Bar and his involvement in cases such as Byrne v Poplar HARCA [2012] HLR 33; Corby Borough Council v Scott; West Kent Housing Association v Haycraft [2012] HLR 23; Swan Housing Association v Gill [2014] HLR 18 and Sims v Dacorum Borough Council [2014] 3 WLR 1600; Ealing LBC & others v (1) Notting Hill Housing Trust (2) A2Dominion Housing Group Ltd [2015] RA 233 and Hertfordshire County Council v Davies [2017] EWHC 1488 (QB) is testimony to this fact. He continues to be instructed by local housing authorities and the leading solicitors in the social housing field, and is known for his instinctive client care skills, thorough knowledge of the law, tactical awareness and exceptional advocacy skills. His practice covers all areas of social housing law from possession, closure order and injunction work, through to homelessness appeals, allocation scheme advice and representation, housing fraud, licensing work in the housing field, public law defences and Equality Act 2010 issues. This is alongside general policy, regulatory, council tax and tenancy work for private registered providers. Andy is also an established speaker at seminars and conferences.
