Principal specialist areas of work are pensions (in particular occupational pensions), mortgage lending and building society work, and other retail financial services, including fairness of terms and consumer credit. Also does general chancery work, including professional negligence relating to the above areas. Joint editor of 'Wurtzburg and Mills - Building Society Law' and 'Current Law Commentary on Building Societies Act 1986'. Joint author, 2nd edition of 'The Law of Investor Protection', including pensions chapter (1st ed. Fisher and Bewsey), and 'Retail Mortgages: Law, Regulation and Procedure' (2013). Member of working party responsible for the Standard Conditions of Sale (5th edition published April 2011) and the Standard Commercial Property Conditions (2nd edition published June 2004; new edition about to be published). Lectures, gives seminars and contributes journal articles. Contributes to pensions section of Lexis PSL and is a member of pensions consulting editorial board.
