Handles all aspects of partnership/limited partnership/LLP law, including the drafting and review of agreements, advising on structural issues and strategic advice and representation in disputes, arbitrations and mediations. Particular expertise in partner extractions and removals, firm-wide downsizing operations, Syers applications, garden leave and restrictive covenant disputes. Acts for solicitors, accountants, and other professional firms, as well as family partnerships and hedge fund managers and financial/commercial institutions, particularly when involved in limited partnership or corporate partnership ventures. Also advises on structures to avoid partnership.

Called to the Bar 1974 and joined 3 Stone Buildings, (Chambers of DR Stanford). Set up Partnership Counsel, originally at 48 Bedford Row, in 1991, as the only chambers specialising exclusively in partnership/LLP law. CEDR Accredited Mediator, 1993. Acted as a consultant to the Law Commission on its reviews of partnership law and limited partnership law (1999 - 2003). Lectures widely on partnership related subjects.
Co-editor 'Lindley on Partnership' (1979-1984); Editor of 'Lindley & Banks on Partnership' (1990-present, 20th ed 2017); author of 'The Encyclopedia of Professional Partnerships'; contributor to 'Private Fund Dispute Resolution".
Educated at Westminster School 1965-69 and University College London 1970-73 (LLB (Hons)). Leisure pursuits include reading and films. Born 5 December 1951. Lives in Beare Green, Surrey.
