Headrick was counsel to Centro Financiero BHD in its acquisition by merger of Grupo Financiero León, a transaction valued at US$5.5 billion.
Banking & Finance:
The firm frequently participates in transactions related to bank and commercial lending securities offerings, securitisations, public and project finance. The firm served as counsel to Aerodom in a complex multi-jurisdictional refinancing, highlighted by a US$317 million bond issuance and US$216 loan facility. The firm recently represented The Bank of Nova Scotia in a project finance matter, a US$72 million loan for a project backed by an international private equity firm. Headrick represented local industrial conglomerate Diesco, as borrower, in a US$85 million financing extended by Goldman Sachs.
Litigation/Alternative Dispute Resolution:
The firm offers clients extensive litigation experience and participates in local and international arbitration processes. Recently, the firm successfully represented CLARO, in several actions related to the auction of frequencies on the wireless spectrum. The firm represents Nynas AB and other subsidiaries in a US$34M claim filed by a local insurance company and AES (a power company) relating the failure of a transformer in one of the country’s main electric generators. The firm represents the three associations that jointly represent all of the actors in the Dominican financial system in a Constitutional challenge to certain provisions of a new notary public law in the country. Likewise, the firm is representing the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic in claims and litigation arising out of the fraudulent bankruptcy of Banco Peravia.
The firm has advised on the acquisition, leasing and mortgaging of aircraft and maritime vessels, and securing operating licenses. Local counsel to airports operator Vinci Airports and startup low cost airline FlyCana.

The firm provides ongoing assistance to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints with real estate ownership and related issues across the country. Ongoing legal assistance to GRUPO PUNTACANA, one of the largest tourism groups in the Dominican Republic.
The firm has counselled several companies in the negotiation of power supply contracts, power purchase agreements, regulatory matters and permits.
