Our Customs and foreign exchange team provides consulting to both national and multinational companies conducting foreign trade operations, attending consults arising out of companies’ day-to-day operations, customs planning, legal advice on Free Trade Treaties, application of origin regulations and advice and implementation of free zones.

Our group has an outstanding reputation for customs planning work for national Colombian and international clients, including advice in matters relating to free trade zones, AEO submissions, customs warehouses and port submissions, as well as customs, international trade and foreign exchange advice.

The Firm is also well known for its expertise and experience in customs and foreign exchange disputes and litigation. The firm is currently involved in several disputes before the customs authorities and before the courts, including cases related to customs valuation, tariff classification, and seizure of goods, among other matters. With regard to foreign exchange disputes, the firm is involved in several processes relating to audits on currency channeling.
