Paul’s work focuses on dispute resolution, complex matters of insolvency and restructuring, and contentious and non-contentious admiralty and shipping matters in the BVI. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2013, and appears as a senior barrister in international, commercial cases in the BVI High Court, the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal, and the Privy Council in London. In January 2016, he extended the firm’s winning record with a major victory for the BVI Electricity Corporation in a million-dollar breach of contract dispute. In November 2015, Mr. Dennis and his team successfully obtained an order in the BVI Commercial Court, setting aside an injunction in the ongoing $500 million Hualon Corporation v Marty Limited litigation.
Past President of the BVI Bar Association and former Council Member of the Eastern Caribbean Bar Association, Paul also served on temporary assignment as a judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court for St. Kitts & Nevis. He is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica.
