Arno Mamassian joined Georgiev, Todorov & Co in 1996 and became a partner specializing in Corporate and Commercial Law, Privatisation and Litigation. He graduated from Sofia University, Faculty of Law in 1991 and is registered with the Bar Association. He was the chief privatisation expert in the Ministry of Industry.
Mr. Mamassian has extensive experience in commercial transactions and disputes in the energy and infrastructure sector where he has acted for Dundee Precious Metals, Aurubis Bulgaria, Asarel Medet, Petroceltic, the Road infrastructure Agency, Trace Resources and others. He successfully advised Gasprom on their investment in a local company (Topenergy), as well as on the regime of licensing and of import and export of gas. He advised ENEL with regards to their projects in Bulgaria, including the construction of the thermal power plant ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3 TPP.
His practice includes participation in projects of EBRD, ECM – Bulgarian Post Privatization Fund, the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company (BTC). He was a legal adviser to the Sofia municipality for the project for publishing Eurobonds and preparation of due diligence report with regard to the privatization of Pharmachim Holding AD.
Most recently he represented Bulstroy Engineering in litigation concerning an infrastructure project for the construction of one of Bulgaria’s highways. Currently representing Brikel in administrative dispute in relation to their Integrated Permit.
