The practice specialises in commercial disputes across a variety of industry sectors including media, technology, energy, telecoms, insurance and financial services sectors. In addition, the practise specialises in regulatory issues and litigation, primarily within the energy, telecoms and life sciences sectors. The dispute resolution team represents clients in several high-profile cases, and recent highlights include acting for the claimant in the HQ Bank case, one of the largest civil cases ever to be tried in Swedish courts. Several of the partners in the dispute resolution team serves as arbitrators in domestic and international arbitrations.
IP, Media & Technology:
Frank’s IP, media & technology team represents several of the major domestic and international broadcasters, distributors and platform providers. The team provides services for all aspects of IP protection and exploitation and media investments, including contentious matters and domestic and cross-border IP and media litigation. The team gives strategic advise on media formations, channel launches, output deals, distribution carriage arrangements, technology transfer, marketing, sport and media rights transactions and content clearances. Among the clients in the technology sector are some of Scandinavia’s largest industry participants, including telecoms companies, network operators as well as IT suppliers and customers. The practice covers all areas of IT, including outsourcing, local and global licensing strategies, procurement transactions, infrastructure services, e-commerce and data protection.
