Firm profile submitted by De Luca & Partners

De Luca & Partners, at present composed of 20 people, was founded 40 years ago, in 1976, at the initiative of the President, Vincenzo De Luca. The law firm De Luca & Partners is specialised in employment law and carries out its consultation, assistance activity, including for all aspects of litigation management for national and multinational companies from all commodity sectors. The studio’s areas of expertise include agency law and trade union law. Thanks to its in-depth knowledge of laws and practices, as well as its capacity to simply and clearly explain the rules (which are often complex) of Italian employment law, the firm frequently handles cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions and provides advise to headquarters, legal affairs directors and human resource managers working outside of Italy. The firm relies on a solid network of counterparts for transactions requiring activity in Italy or the world.
The firm advises over 400 clients, with whom it enjoys long-term professional relationships due to an ability to adapt to their ever-changing requirements.
Clients are either mainly represented by large and medium sized Italian and foreign companies from a variety of business industries such as: audit, banking, chemical, design, fashion, furniture, insurance, metal mechanical, retail, food and drink, media and marketing, software, technology and telecommunications, energy, automobiles and parts, etc. Specialisation, confidentiality, professionalism, independence, efficiency, a pro-active attitude, attention to its clients’ needs and transparency: these are the values that have driven De Luca & Partner’s activities since 1976.
Technology and knowledge sharing are a key factor for the firm. De Luca & Partners also invests in researching and disseminating employment law material and for this reason collaborates with Il Sole 24 Ore and with the main employment law journals. Its partners and associates are often invited as speakers at training courses, workshops and seminars. For over a decade and until 2013, when the edition ceased, De Luca & Partners was responsible for drafting Employment Terms and Conditions – Italy published by Towers Watson (formerly, Watson Wyatt).
In 2015, De Luca & Partners has been responsible for the edition of Doing Business in Italy for the Italian Trade Agency (ICE Institute).
The firm regularly organizes conventions and seminars on employment law issues.

a)Consultancy
on employment and labour law. The lawyers of the firm regularly advice corporations and institutions in any and all the issues they face in their day-to-day activity, in order to allow them to concentrate on their core businesses and achieve their targets. The firm normally assists its clients in ordinary issues as well as:

b)Industrial relations and restructurings.
Due to the specific expertise of the founder and to the skills of its team, the firm, since its foundation, has always been regularly involved in reorganizations and restructurings, including trade unions negotiations. c)Employment law related issues within M&A
and extraordinary corporate transactions. De Luca & Partners also works closely with a number of law firms – and occasionally even for law firms having an employment law department – private equity companies and investment funds where it is typically involved in managing labour aspects of M&A corporate transactions and restructuring of work organisations.
d)Labour dispute resolution in court
Partners and Associates of the firm are always committed to achieving clients’ goals, preventing litigation when opportune. Legal aid is in any case an important area of competence for the firm. As a matter of fact, in the period 2013-2014, De Luca & Partners ‘successfully won 85% of the cases sponsored,’ on average. Such outstanding result was confirmed by a specific analysis carried out by the company RSM Independent Auditors and Accounting Organization S.p.A.
