Since the enactment of the Brazilian Arbitration Law in 1996, we have been very active in domestic and international arbitration, representing Brazilian and foreign companies before arbitrators with the most varied profiles. We are highly familiar with the many arbitration tribunals based both in Brazil and elsewhere in the world and are therefore in a position to advise our clients on the advantages and disadvantages of each tribunal on a case-by-­case basis.

We advise clients throughout the several phases of the arbitration proceedings, from the drafting the arbitration clause to the filing of the request for arbitration, appointing arbitrators and acting as arbitration lawyers. We also advise clients after the arbitration award is entered, and provide guidance on the ratification of foreign awards, as required under Brazilian law.

Our team has experience in arbitrations governed by both Civil Law countries (such as Brazil) and Common Law countries (such as the United States and England). We are familiar with the production of evidence and discovery in many jurisdictions and therefore we are always prepared to defend the interests of our clients in any legal context.
