Career: Steven J. Reisman, partner and co-chair of the Restructuring and Insolvency group of Curtis, has handled a wide range of domestic and international matters involving bankruptcy, restructuring and creditors’ rights and has represented clients in all facets of bankruptcy cases and insolvency issues in business transactions and out-of-court restructurings. Highlights of Mr. Reisman’s recent representations include Lehman Brothers Holdings, et al. in the largest bankruptcy filing in the U.S.; Residential Capital, LLC; Patriot Coal Corporation; General Maritime Corporation; Sbarro Corporation; Hawker Beechcraft, Inc.; Caribe Media, Inc.; and as conflicts counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors to Hostess Brands, Inc., et al. and K-V Discovery Solutions, Inc. Mr. Reisman has represented various hedge funds, private equity firms and distressed debt investors with respect to their investments in companies and in restructuring the indebtedness of companies in insolvency matters. He has also worked on several cross-border insolvency proceedings involving Mexico, Canada, Argentina and other countries.
