Practice Areas: Bradford P. Lyerla is a partner in Jenner & Block’s Litigation Department and Co-Chair of the Patent Litigation and Counseling Practice. He is a nationally recognized intellectual property litigator with 30 years of significant experience in the areas of patents, trade secrets and antitrust.
Mr. Lyerla has been first-chair in over 50 patent litigation matters and lead counsel in numerous other trials and arbitrations, representing some of the most prominent corporations in America, in industries including aerospace, applied mathematics, chemical sciences, communications, computing, consumer products, electrical and software engineering, financial services, food science, internet and cyberlaw, material science, medical devices, nanotechnology, television and pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Lyerla writes extensively on intellectual property law topics. He is Editor-at-Large for the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Litigation newsletter, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the publication for 15 years. He is a contributing author to West Publishing’s Patent Claim Construction in the Federal Circuit; and is a frequent speaker at local and national Bar, trade and industry conferences, discussing intellectual property and litigation topics. He has been recognized for excellence by numerous organizations including Chambers, Who's Who, Leading Lawyers and Super Lawyers.
