Practice Areas: Joseph Allerhand is a nationally recognized securities litigator and counselor with 30 years experience in major shareholder class actions, high-stakes M&A litigations and corporate governance disputes. Equally comfortable in the boardroom and courtroom, he also regularly counsels boards of directors and special committees on transactions and internal investigations. He currently serves as lead counsel for AIG in the shareholder class and derivative litigations arising from the financial crisis, and represents Kinder Morgan in all of the shareholder litigations arising from its pending acquisition of El Paso.
