Practice Areas: Timothy Muris is Of Counsel to the Antitrust and Competition group in Kirkland’s Washington, D.C., office. Tim represents clients on a variety of antitrust matters, including merger and non-merger investigations. He also advises clients on an array of consumer protection issues, and has testified before numerous U.S. Congressional Committees on antitrust, consumer protection and regulatory and budget issues. Tim served as FTC Chairman from 2001-04, Director of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection from 1981-83, and Director of the FTC's Bureau of Competition from 1983-85.
