Chambers Latin America covers a total of 20 jurisdictions and spans Mexico; Central America; the Caribbean islands of Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico; and all Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries on the South American sub-continent.

Areas of Law   Each country is covered in at least one practice area. In smaller jurisdictions such as El Salvador and Bolivia, all the key commercial areas of practice are dealt with under the general heading of Corporate / Commercial. In larger jurisdictions such as Brazil and Mexico we rank law firms in over 25 specialist practice areas. Our ‘Central America-wide’ and ‘Latin America-wide’ sections rank firms that carry out work across the region.

Law Firm Networks   Chambers ranks leading law firm networks in the region.

Date of Publication   The guide is published annually every September, at which point all content and rankings are fixed for a 12-month period. However, factual information, such as mergers or lawyer-moves, is kept up-to-date on the website throughout the year.
