Introduction to Chambers Global
Chambers Global includes:
- Pan-regional rankings
- Country rankings that overlap with our other guides (UK, USA, Europe, Asia, Latin America)
- Country rankings that currently do not overlap with our other guides (mainly Canada, the Middle East and Africa)
1- Pan-regional sections:
Global-Wide
One of the distinguishing features of Chambers Global is that it includes a number of Global-regional sections. These tables rank those firms and individuals with truly international practices. Firms need to demonstrate the ability to work across continents, very likely with the advantage of a network of offices. The clients of a globally ranked firm are likely to have a need for expertise across the world. Global-wide sections rely heavily on analysing existing research.
Though helpful, submissions for these sections are optional. In the absence of a Global-wide submission we will refer to available country or pan-regional submissions.
For more information, please contact editor Edward Shum.
Africa-wide
Africa-wide sections cover work done across the African continent by firms which are able to offer a service spanning several jurisdictions. The recommended firms can marshal resources to handle significant cross-border transactions, either through offices in several countries or via good relationships developed with local counsel. As Africa is a broad and disparate market, some of the firms may be more specialised in a particular group of countries, but all recommended firms have significant cross-border track records. We are interested in work driven out of key offices in the region as well as matters involving lawyers and offices outside of the region.
For more information, please contact editor Edward Shum.
Asia-Pacific Region
Also published in Chambers Asia-Pacific. For more information, please contact Asia-Pacific Editor Shi-Ning Koay.
Europe-wide
Also published in Chambers Europe. For more information, please contact Europe editor Georgia Brooks.
Latin America-Wide
Also published in Chambers Latin America. For more information, please contact Latin-America Editor Andres Jaramillo Mejia.
Middle East- wide
Middle East-wide sections cover work done across the Middle East by firms which are able to offer a service spanning several jurisdictions. The recommended firms can marshal resources to handle significant cross-border transactions, either through offices in several countries or via good relationships developed with local counsel. We are interested in work driven out of key offices in the region as well as matters involving lawyers and offices outside of the region.
For more information, please contact editor Edward Shum.
2- Country rankings that overlap with our other guides
The editors in charge of this content are also the editors of the relevant regional guides.
It will differ from the regional content as:
- We are developing a stronger focus on lawyers with truly international experience who may have been overlooked in the past (attorneys with dual qualifications, special language skills, regional focus or client-base, etc).
- We are introducing brand new ranking tables showing the capabilities of leading firms.
SUBMISSIONS
These rankings rely on regional research and will not require a separate submission. However, you have the opportunity to include Global-related information in your regional submissions, in a specific “Chambers Global” section. Please check the relevant submission guidelines for a more detailed description.
3- Country rankings that do not overlap with our other guides
These sections are: all African and Middle East jurisdictions, Canada, non-Spanish speaking Caribbean islands and the Falkland Islands.
The editor in charge of this content is Edward Shum.
