Capital Markets:

The capital markets practice comprises over 420 partners and lawyers who concentrate on securities transactions and other products sold into the capital markets. Competition/Antitrust - China

Senior associate Bai Yong is based in Beijing. Fluent in Mandarin and English, he was recently part of the team advising Pfizer on the competition issues arising from the sale of its infant nutrition business to Nestlé. He recently completed a secondment to the firm's London office.

Corporate/M&A (International Firms) - China

Eminent practitioner Roger Denny is a stalwart of the M&A sector. He is lauded for his his ability to provide "clear and authoritative advice." Denny recently advised HSBC and Hang Seng Bank on the USD1.228 billion sale of their general insurance business to AXA and QBE Insurance.

Now located in Hong Kong, Emma Davies continues to be noted for her work on transactions related to life sciences, particularly pharmaceuticals. Recently, she represented key client Pfizer in the separation of its animal healthcare business, via IPO and share exchange. Sources describe her as "very sharp and smart."

Amy Ho has a broad corporate practice with a focus on real estate transactions. She also has experience in the insurance sector acting on transactional matters across the Asia-Pacific region.
