Corporate/M&A - Italy

A new entry to the rankings, Pietro Belloni is described as "good at balancing legal risks with commercial opportunities," as well as being "delivery-focused."

Qualified in Italy and in England and Wales, Manila Rainò remains a prominent figure in the energy sector, recently working as part of the team acting for BP America on the sale of BP Solar assets in Spain and Italy.

Dispute Resolution - Italy

Alessandro Villani's addition to the practice has certainly made an impact, as confirmed by his inclusion in this year's rankings. Clients appreciate his commercial acumen and strategic approach: "He is good at forming relationships with clients and strategising; he avoids problems and gives the right evaluation of risks."   

Restructuring/Insolvency - Italy

Interviewees agree that managing partner Andrea Arosio "sees beyond what needs doing and not only answers the client's questions, but anticipates potential issues." As one of Italy's foremost banking and finance lawyers, he is highly sought after by principal investors, financial sponsors and lenders. 

Francesco Faldi is widely acknowledged as a visible market player and well liked by clients, and rises in the rankings. "He is extremely hard-working and works unimaginable hours," asserts one client. 

UK-qualified Davide Mencacci is active on restructurings that have a UK-law component. "If you have a complicated issue then he knows how to solve it," states a market expert.
