Major results include multi-million dollar recoveries for clients like Oracle and Motorola who were victims of the DRAM and LCD price-fixing conspiracies and dismissal of antitrust claims against clients Kaiser Health, Yamaha, DuPont, and Motorola.

The group is transaction-oriented, focusing predominately on mergers/acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate securities and finance, investment funds, commercial finance, commercial contracts, and outsourcing arrangements, IP arrangements, and financial institutions regulatory advice.

The group has a national reputation with corporations, trade associations and others due to its successful efforts to shape regulatory policies and litigate disputes for clients in the mining, oil/gas, agriculture, alternative energy, defense and related sectors such as water/air quality, public land use, endangered species, site cleanup,pesticides, health and safety, and consumer products regulation.

International Trade & Dispute Resolution:

The group works closely with the firm’s subsidiary C&M International to craft government policies for countries.
Litigation & Trial:
A core strength of the firm is the Litigation Group,which brings and defends lawsuits for clients in nationwide and global courts, on matters spanning all practice and industry competencies. The firm has represented clients in over 1,400 trials and approximately 700 appeals. In 2011, the firmrepresented DuPont in a trade secret theft case against Kolon that resulted in a $919.9 million jury verdict for DuPont.
White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement:
The group has substantial trial experience, along with pragmatic counseling and negotiating capabilities, defending clients under FCPA, qui tam action brought under the False Claim Act, securities and commodities fraud, and more. In 2011, the firm led a successful defense in the landmark Lindsey Manufacturing Company FCPA case.
