He practices mainly in corporate finance, acquisitions and governance as well as in advanced technologies, publishing and media, cloud infrastructures, privacy and cyber security. He also enjoys an extensive practice and expertise in IP licensing and litigation (incl open access, creative commons and open source), joint ventures, technology transfers and complex business outsourcings.
J.D., Ph.D., University of Lausanne (1993; 1996). He then obtained a Fulbright grant, graduated from Columbia University Law School with honors in 1997 (LL.M., Stone Scholar) and was then admitted to the New York bar. He has practised in Switzerland, including as head of practice, since 1997 at Swiss leading mid size law firms and founded his own firm in 2012. He spent another year in 2003 working as an associate at White & Case LLP in New York (IP department). He has taught at several Swiss universities for 15 years in IP, corporate and technology.
