Practice Areas: Daniel R. Murray is a senior partner in Jenner & Block. He is Chair of the Firm’s Bankruptcy, Workout and Corporate Reorganization Practice and Co-Chair of the Commercial Law and Uniform Commercial Code Practice. He is a member of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, the American College of Bankruptcy and the American Law Institute.
Career: Mr. Murray has a national practice in commercial law, secured transactions and corporate restructuring. He counsels and represents clients in corporate restructurings in a broad range of industries, including transportation, manufacturing, retailing, energy, gaming and financial services. He also advises clients in a wide variety of matters relating to commercial law, including secured transactions, sales, leasing, banking law and letters of credit.
Publications: Mr. Murray has served as an adjunct professor teaching corporate reorganization at the University of Notre Dame Law School. He has written extensively on the Uniform Commercial Code, including Uniform Laws Annotated - Uniform Commercial Code Forms, Illinois Practice - Uniform Commercial Code Forms and Uniform Commercial Code with Illinois Code Comments, all published by West Group. Mr. Murray serves as a contributing editor to Norton Bankruptcy Law and Practice 2d.
