Practice Areas: Mr Newman chairs the firm's Investment Management Practice. He works with registered investment companies, independent directors of investment companies, registered and unregistered investment advisers, banks and financial services institutions in the investment management industry. He counsels numerous mutual funds and their sponsors, and interfaces with SEC staff on a broad range of regulatory matters, including exemptive order applications, no-action letters, registration statements and examination inquiries. Mr Newman has extensive boardroom experience, including the representation of independent directors of mutual funds.
