Practice Areas: Mr. Sorondo leads the firm's South Florida's Appellate practice. He was a trial lawyer from 1979-92. He served with distinction as both a trial judge (1992-97) on Florida's Circuit Court (Miami-Dade County), and as an appellate judge (1997-2002) on Florida's Third District Court of Appeal. He was awarded the Justice Gerald Kogan Judicial Distinction Award (1998) and the Justice Award (2004). He lectures extensively on jury selection, the imposition of sanctions for fraud on the courts, and appellate advocacy. In 2012, he was named one of three "Most Effective Lawyers" in appellate law by the Daily Business Review.
