Practice Areas: Vincent E. Lazar is Co-Chair of Jenner & Block’s Bankruptcy Litigation Practice and a member of the Bankruptcy, Workout and Corporate Reorganization Practice. His experience ranges from advising debtors, committees, and trustees in high-profile bankruptcy cases, to representing litigants in bankruptcy-related lawsuits, to advising purchasers and sellers of distressed debt and equity. Mr. Lazar currently represents CME Group in the MF Global liquidation; the liquidation trustee of Sentinel Management Group, Inc., an investment advisor bankruptcy proceeding; the trustee in Canopy Financial, Inc.'s bankruptcy proceedings; and several companies in connection with out-of-court restructurings or pre-bankruptcy planning matters. Past clients have included Harrah’s Jazz Company, the owner of the land-based casino in New Orleans; Covanta Energy Corporation in its Chapter 11 reorganization proceeding; a syndicate of Hungarian lenders to North American Bus Industries, Inc; the Examiner in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy case; and the Chapter 7 Trustee of Refco, LLC in connection with the bankruptcy sale of its commodity broker business.

Publications: Mr. Lazar is contributing author of “Colliers on Bankruptcy,” a leading bankruptcy treatise, and served as a faculty member on numerous educational panels discussing bankruptcy-related topics.
