Practice Areas: Nimi heads Herbert Smith Freehills’ India Practice, which she established in 1994. She has wide ranging experience of United Kingdom and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, securities and other corporate finance work. Nimi also has general experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors, and in structuring and establishing investment funds. Nimi has represented a number of Indian Corporates and Public Sector Undertakings in their overseas expansions. Under Nimi’s guidance, the firm’s India practice grew ninefold between 2007 and 2012.
