Career: Jim has more than 30 years experience in all facets of environmental law, and has focused in particular on industrial plant development and expansion projects, municipal water project development projects, compliance and environmental audit matters and environmental litigation. Representative experience includes site development and operations permitting for IBM, Siemens and Motorola microchip manufacturing plants, the Virginia Beach Lake Gaston Pipeline Project, the Newport News King William Reservoir Project, the landmark federal Clean Water Act litigation involving Gwaltney of Smithfield, Ltd., and the notorious Kepone pesticide contamination of Virginia's James River.
