Practice Areas: As Managing Partner of Husch Blackwell's Chicago office and Chair of the National Intellectual Property Group, Sidney is engaged in client counseling, licensing and litigation concerning all areas of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks and copyrights. He has received significant recognition for his work in the protection of computer programs and video games under copyright laws. Sidney’s background includes serving as a patent examiner in the U.S. Patent Office and as an electrical engineering technician. He co-founded Welsh & Katz in 1983 and served as Managing Partner there from 1991-2008, when the firm merged with Husch Blackwell.
