Represents clients in environmental litigation and administrative proceedings; provides environmental compliance counseling (including with respect to greenhouse gas emissions and climate change) and due diligence/transactional support; and assists clients in securing defense and indemnity from their liability insurers. Has considerable experience defending environmental litigation matters brought under all major federal and California environmental statutes (including California's Proposition 65) and various common law theories. Represents clients in regulatory enforcement actions (such as cleanup and abatement orders and civil penalty actions), and regularly assists clients in brownfields redevelopment, land use and permitting.
